Pani Puri with potato filling is a beloved Indian street food, featuring crispy puris stuffed with a flavourful spiced potato mixture. Served with Riya's imli Pani, a tangy and spicy blend, it offers a perfect balance of textures and tastes, making every bite a burst of flavour.

Ingredients

4 Servings

​Potato Filling

  • 2 to 3 Medium Potatoes 

  • 1 Medium Onion

  • 1 to 1.5 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves

  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder

  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder (adjust to your taste)

  • Salt (as required)

Pani Puri

  • Riya's Pani Puri

​

Pani (water)

  • Riya's Original Imli Pani

Cooking Methods

​​​Step 1

Peel the potatoes and boil.​

​

Step 2

Dice the boiled potatoes and onion into small even cubes. â€‹â€‹

Step 3​​

In a bowl, combine the diced onion and potatoes with 1 - 1.5 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala powder, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, and salt to taste. Mix well until all the flavours are evenly combined.​​

Assembling

​​​Step 1

Gently crack the top of the puri with a spoon to create a small opening for the filling. 

​

​​​Step 2

Spoon 2 to 3 teaspoons of the boiled potato-onion filling into each puri, making sure not to overfill.

​​​Step 3

Serve the pani puri right away after adding the pani to maintain their crispiness. Enjoy them fresh before they get soggy! â€‹â€‹â€‹
